Menu choices

The Wedding Breakfast will feature a set menu with a choice of main course, which are as follows:
GRILLED HAKE

roast new potato / shallot / water cress / white wine beurre blanc

SIRLOIN OF BEEF*

potato dauphinoise / oyster mushroom / plum tomato / green bean / tenderstem / red wine jus

Vegetarian and Vegan options are also available for all courses, and the venue is able to cater for any dietary requirements. Please help us by advising of these in advance when you RSVP.
*Sirloin cooked to medium at the Chef’s recommendation. Exceptions can only be made for dietary reasons.

Brookfield Barn is well signposted from the main roads and well connected to the town of Horsham, the M23 and Gatwick Airport.
There is ample car parking, and cars may be left overnight (Cars must be collected by 10am on Saturday).

Accommodation

Brookfield Barn is located on the outskirts of Horsham, with plenty of nearby hotels, guest houses and air bnbs. Gatwick Airport, with a wide selection of hotels is around 20 minutes away.
We’ve listed a few local hotels here. It’s by no means an exhaustive list (Gatwick alone has over 10 hotels), but hope it’s enough to get you started.
Premier Inn Horsham North (Station Hotel)

Convenient for those arriving by train, or via Gatwick Airport (regular trains from Gatwick to Horsham Station), this Premier Inn is located across the road from Horsham Station. Website indicates free on site parking for hotel residents.

Located in ‘Piries Place’ within Horsham Town Centre. Parking is ‘offsite’ in the Piries Place multi-story car park next door to the hotel. A good hotel if you plan on staying locally around Horsham, with good transport links, and access to the South Downs.

A cosy West Sussex pub with a small number of rooms located in Littleworth, a small hamlet outside Horsham. Parking is quite limited at the pub, but also available on the road.

A slightly pricier option located on the beautiful Leonardslee Wine Estate. Around a 10 minute taxi ride from the venue, located outside of Horsham.

A Gatwick Airport hotel located off the M23 to the South of the airport. Located off the airport site itself, taxis are likely to be cheaper than if based on the airport.

There are numerous hotels located at Gatwick Airport itself, with prices ranging from £50 a night upwards. There are good rail links between Gatwick and Horsham, and lots of taxis available.

We’ve lived together for a while now and already have most of what we need at home. So instead of a traditional gift list, we’d really appreciate any contributions towards our honeymoon, if you’d like to give a gift. That said, your presence on the day is what matters most to us.

What time can we arrive at the venue?

The venue will be open from 12pm (an hour before the ceremony). The venue’s bar will be open before the ceremony, but closes 30 minutes before the ceremony begins. It will then reopen after the ceremony has taken place.

Last orders will be called at 11:15 pm, and music will wind down at 11:30 pm. The bar will also close at 11.30 pm. The venue closes at midnight, and we ask that all guests who aren’t staying the night have pre-booked taxis to collect them by midnight.

The venue is home to a wide range of wildlife, including nesting ducks and goslings. They therefore politely request that only natural confetti is thrown – this will be supplied on the day!

There is no specific dress code, we invite guests to dress formally.

Of course you can! All we ask is that for the ceremony itself you put your phones and cameras away and enjoy the moment with us. Our photographer, Jacob, will be taking photos throughout the ceremony, and these will be shared with you through this website once we receive them.

The ceremony will be taking place indoors, and the barn itself is heated. The venue does have outdoor areas, including a patio area with firepits/heaters, which we will use, weather permitting!
